I recognize the power that socially sanctioned discrimination due to gender, race, class and sexual orientation has in adversely effecting people.  I also acknowledge the pain and suffering that can be caused by addictions and dysfunctional family dynamics. Even more powerful, I believe, is the infinite resilience, wisdom and creativity of the human spirit. With over 25 years of counseling experience, my work as a clinical social worker involves helping you rediscover and trust your intuition, instincts and innate wisdom. I endeavor to create a respectful, sacred space where you can safely explore your challenges, resolve immediate problems or heal from more repetitive dissatisfying life long patterns.

One of my great joys is being an honored witness to profound transformation. My style is supportive and validating.  I am an active, engaged, attentive listener. If desired by you, I can be a more directive guide.  My work uses the best of the traditional and alternative techniques that I have learned from my ongoing personal and professional training. Working together, you can discover your personal truths and develop the ability to create a more satisfying life.

Common themes in my practice have included:
Addiction recovery
Breaking the cycle of dysfunctional family dynamics
Re-parenting oneself and parenting one’s children
Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender concerns
Improving self esteem and confidence
Creating safety and abundance
Stress reduction
Expanding self expression and personal creativity

Creating more harmonious relationships
